Dr Amirthalakshmi.R holds a Doctorate in Law (LL.D) in the area of Human rights and specifically on the ‘Freedom of expression’ from Collegium Humanum Warsaw Management University and ANOBS. She is a qualified accountant with rights of practice in India. She holds 22 publications in newspapers of repute and is a frequently called upon expert on matters pertaining to ‘Freedom of speech’ and the European Court of Auditors. Her piece on the Data Privacy Bill of India was referred to during the drafting of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 of India. Her seminal piece on European Refugee Law is widely acclaimed by the Human Rights authors.
She is also a registered valuer (NP) with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (NP) from USA and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce.
She is a distinguished guest faculty of law and human rights in top ranking law schools and also teaches management at top business schools. She also volunteers to knowledge groom budding young entrepreneurs.
Her extensive experience includes taxation, corporate, economic and insolvency laws apart from human rights laws, on the law front; and startup scaling, valuations and financial models, mergers and acquisitions, risk assessment and internal controls, forensic accounting and investigation on the finance and corporate governance front.
