The DBA in Economic and Social Management is a professional postgraduate program aimed at executives, managers and practitioner-researchers who wish to deepen their knowledge of responsible economic models and contemporary social dynamics. Built on the principles of ESS, the program provides advanced skills in democratic governance, ethical management, social innovation, socio-economic analysis and impact measurement. Relying on an interdisciplinary approach and applied research methodologies, participants will be able to design socially-oriented strategies, manage complex projects and support social transformations. The program concludes with a dissertation, training experts capable of reconciling global performance, social usefulness and a sustainable transition.

  • Analysis of hybrid economic models typical of organizations.
  • Design of democratic governance strategies (cooperatives, mutual insurers, associations, social enterprises).
  • Integration of social impact, stakeholder participation and profitability into strategic decisions.
  • Evaluation of risks and economic resilience of social enterprises.

Block 2. Advanced research methods in the social sciences

  • Mastery of advanced qualitative and quantitative methodologies (statistical analysis, surveys, case studies, action research).
  • Development of a rigorous protocol that complies with international standards.
  • Analysis of socio-economic dynamics using research tools, applied to various organizations.
  • Synthesis of research results for scientific or institutional publication.

Block 3. Responsible management, social innovation and project management

  • Leadership of socially-oriented projects (territorial innovation, inclusion, ecological transition, etc.).
  • Application of change management tools in social organizations.
  • Support for social enterprise development and model innovations (short supply chains, solidarity finance, collaborative economy).
  • Deployment of social impact indicators to guide decision-making.

Block 4. Public policy, regulation and legal frameworks

  • Understanding national and international public policies in the social and solidarity economy.
  • Analysis of the legal instruments regulating organizations (laws, outcome-based contracts, public procurement, grants).
  • Evaluation of interactions among institutions, local authorities and structures.
  • Advising organizations on compliance, public funding and regulatory issues.

Block 5. Leadership, ethics and social transformation

  • Development of ethical leadership.
  • Accompanying social transformation (ecological transition, equality, inclusion, social justice).
  • Mobilizing collective intelligence, mediation and collaboration within teams.
  • Representation of global impact strategies: climate, governance and social responsibility.

Assessment methods:

  • Preparation of a 200-page dissertation and oral defense before an examination board.
